If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, how about Gooey Monster Eye Cookies? Who wouldn’t be impressed at those?

The Drinks

Halloween is the opportunity to try out some new and impressive looking drinks. You REALLY don’t want to disappoint in this department. Check out our top 3 themed cocktails that really pack a wallop!

The Poison Apple

This vibrant green cocktail has just the right amount of sweet and sour to please any wicked (or not-so-wicked) witch. Add a splash of bubbly to give it the ‘magic potion’ feel.

Ingredients –

1 shot vanilla vodka

½ shot orange liqueur

1 shot sour apple liqueur or schnapps

½ ounce fresh lemon juice

½ shot champagne

The Blood Sucker

To create this vampire-friendly cocktail, shake up triple sec, vodka and pineapple juice and strain. Drip puree down the sides of the glass to add streams of ‘blood’. Spoooky!
Ingredients –

1 1/2 oz. Bacardi

1/2 oz. Cointreau

2 oz. pineapple juice

1 Tbs. strawberry or raspberry puree

Orange to decorate

The Dracula’s Punch

A refreshing mocktail fit for a blood sucking vampire (or a thirsty student) – pair cherry juice with chilli, cinnamon, cloves and ginger, then garnish with bobbing cherries!

2l cherry juice

Peel from 3 oranges

1 red chilli

3 cinnamon sticks

10 cloves

6 slices of ginger

The Decorations

A carved pumpkin is essential at any Halloween party, sat on your doorstep subtly glowing (with a battery operated tea light, remember no candles in halls.😉) Grab yourself a few smaller pumpkins to place around the house, get the housemates in on the action and have a carving competition, it’s Halloween, why not?

Pop into shops like Poundland and Primark to find yourself some cheap and cheerful decorations, you don’t want to go spending loads when you’re only using them once a year. Some cute ghost figures and themed bunting is all you need!

You’re set to go!
